IBMC to buy former Circuit City Building in CheyenneIBMC to buy former Circuit City Building in CheyenneFriday, July 23, 2010 By Business Report Staff CHEYENNE — The Institute of Business and Medical Careers (IBMC) will be closing on the purchase of the Circuit City building, at the corner of Dell Range and Rue Terre, in mid August. Rich Laub, IBMC owner and CEO noted, “We opened our campus in Cheyenne five years ago and have been overwhelmed by how the community responded to our school. We are moving to this larger 17,000-square-foot facility because of the need for career training in this community and to provide better facilities for students.” Thunder Pup Construction will begin the remodel taking the facility from a big box retail establishment to a college campus in a few weeks. The new campus will have 14 classrooms, which will include: medical labs, computer classes, lecture and therapeutic massage classrooms. The plans include a large student service area where students will meet with admissions staff, financial aid counselors, and will have access to computer banks to facilitate resume writing and career searches. The student lounge will boast an indoor and sheltered outdoor area. A full service therapeutic massage clinic will be added to this campus for the public to enjoy a spa-like experience with a certified massage graduate. Laub went on to say, “We are delighted that we will be able to offer a more convenient campus location with state-of-the art facilities for our students”. The new Cheyenne campus is scheduled to open late 2010 during the holiday season. On the web: www.ibmc.edu. |
